The guy cannot even do basic research into anything he says.
Actually, the guy did kill the boss to obtain the HUSHED SAINT'S HALBERD, but he didn't know about the underworld vendor and didn't have 16 DEX points. This, for me, is the Balanced Vordt-Hammer of the game, The "Sword of Skin and Tooth" is the second Vordt's Hammer of the game. and if Asmon had used any of these weapons, he wouldn't have quit the game. It's a shame because the chat was telling him, "Wait, your strong weapon will come soon," etc.
Form your own opinions about content and stop being brainwashed by a basement dwelling soyjack who wants nothing more than the all mighty dollar. If he didn't make any money from what he did he would scrap his fans and leave YouTube in a heartbeat.
That is how they make their living. But sadly, there are a lot of over aged kids that don't get it.
I completely agree with you. The Rank 1 is for speedrunners, people with years of experience in that game, who took the time to learn the mechanics thoroughly.
I may be a bit strict because I've read many comments from people who say the game is easy, but when you look at their builds, they use the most overpowered equipment and reach level 200 in their NG+0, essentially turning it into a story mode. They have every right to play that way. My annoyance comes when they complain to the developers, saying, "Your game is easy," etc.
One way to solve the problem of overleveling and turning a Dark Souls game into a story mode is to have enemies scale their level similar to the player's level, as FINAL FANTASY 8 did at the time.
For NG+1, I would like the creators of Lords of the Fallen to add an option for enemies/bosses to level up along with you, increasing their attack, defense, resistances, attack speed, and movement speed. This way, people could do level 500 runs while maintaining an appropriate challenge.
Regarding your opinion, I must say that your credibility was greatly diminished by your final paragraph. What you are discussing seems to be a self-imposed challenge that you are inferring from an unknown source. The beauty of souls-like games is that there is no right or wrong way to play them. Anything can work if you have the necessary skills, which is why we have speed runs, SL1 runes and no-hit runs among other achievements. If someone has successfully completed the game, they have indeed accomplished the task, and it is unfair for you to say otherwise. After all, who are you? Declaring yourself as an Asmon fan does not carry any kind of credibility, in fact it greatly diminishes it.
I believe that perhaps you may lack the mental maturity or awareness to truly understand Asmon's true intentions. His focus is solely on creating content, as you must understand that OTK is a business where members combine their income and distribute it among themselves. Therefore, each member is obligated to stream and produce content daily in order to sustain their income. While I admit that Asmon can be entertaining at times, considering him as an authority or an example of a game's true potential is simply foolish.
Lotf is not a challenging game for those familiar with souls-like games. It effectively achieves its intended purpose, but it suffers from an excessive amount of artificial difficulty. The game features dense mobs, aggressive enemies with unrestricted leashes, spells that possess aim bot-like tracking, and severely limited iframes where they should be more abundant. The saving grace of this game is its visually appealing aesthetic and the opportunity to experience the capabilities of the new U5 engine firsthand. Additionally, it is worth noting that Lotf is the final souls-like game to be released this year, which has been a delight for enthusiasts of this genre. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge that both the new U5 engine and the game itself are not fully utilized and are plagued by technical issues, mechanical flaws, and, as previously mentioned, artificial difficulty.
I will add one thing about your last paragraph.
The original Lords of the Fallen was an extremely flawed game. It tried and was the first to try what it did. But didn't succeed.
This new iteration of the IP, seriously sets the stones for something even greater in the future in my opinion. And it made me believe in the IP.
Who cares about the opinion of some mother killing moron?
This guy gets it.
