If its unfair and annoying then its hard. Jesus christ what is this all the time with "not hard" with souls bosses
The only problem is the parasite so it actually takes 1 try to go to Umbral and locate it (then die), so on the next try you know where the parasite is and you can go dispel it from the get go. Then it's just a normal "elite with 3 adds" fight, except that the elite has more HP than normal.
It has a boss bar, so its a boss. The whole "its not a boss" argument is pretty meaningless in a game that has so few enemy variety they constantly rehash the same bosses as normal NPCs over and over, even in the same area right after said boss fight.
wear some frost resistance stuff. armor, potions, etc.
equip fire damage stuff to do fire damage.
there is a little island to the left of solid land. go there so you can dodge and roll.
lamp the parasite quickly!
kill the dogs fast! they are going to cause you a problem if you ignore them.
now you can kill the big guy with the axe without too much trouble since he will be alone. But it's a narrow bit of land you have to work with so consider it like a close quarters combat situation.
done!
if you die and go to umbral the boss fight becomes MUCH harder because then you have 2 guys to fight, but you can move around the area freely because no water. I suggest not dying and transitioning to umbral.
After he's dead go around the corner and unlock the vestige. Then come back (and kill the dogs again if you rested), then kill the fat head in umbral and get the treasure.
PS
Shields are nice.
- dont die, the add is trouble.
- back left, lamp-drain the umbral parasite, right away.
- dogs must die 1st, get them on the patch of land forward left from entry. dogs dont enjoy being kicked.
- soul flay the viking, the extended soul flay duration eye helps a lot here, and globally to be true.
- glhf
Kill the umbral parasite.
Use flame salt and get rid of the dogs faster.
If you have just a little agility and dont go in underleveld he is as easy as all the other bosses.
Its just a regular enemy in the ice world after all.
