Tancred NG+

Any idea on how to solo kill that monstruosity ? I mean phase 1 is pretty simple his attack patterns are clear and you can parry them easily but phase 2 is awful. Plus he has tons of HP.

Dervlas Crossbow makes phase 2 a joke because he get's staggered constantly by it, basically doing nothing the entire phase.

I actually thought phase 2 had less HP than phase 1.

Anyway, I remember the time I fought him in NG+1. I kept my distance to lure him to leap, dodge and then attack. Cast Blessed Reflections when possible, twice will cause him to stagger.
It took awhile, but at least I was able to solo it, lol!

i killed him yesterday solo dual-wield poison bleed

for phase 2 there also patterns in wich you have a dps window pretty simple

espeacialy after his leap or jump and you will get pretty easily a killing blow on him

in melee range when he start his 3 hit combo also a good window after his finla third hit (think it was not sure maybe 4)

after his charge attack also

I'm trying to always stay behind him and focus his legs but mid-life his leap creates lava on impact and this is where it's getting complicated

Might take a few try. I'd have loved doing another NG+0 before that just to feel powerful xD now I'm stuck with it. Sadly it's been patched while I was Ng+1 :(

Yeah I'm also not sure how to avoid that move. It's the lava that always gets me because it seems no matter what direction I try to dodge, I never get far enough away to avoid it.

Any attack with large cleave, like grand weapons, or aoe attacks like explosive magic or throwables trivializes him because all of his legs lose poise individually for an aoe hit, but adds to his total stagger for all hits.

Dervlas Crossbow makes everything a joke, as far as I can tell. Especially when you equip unlimited ammo eye, damage ring, and reload pendant. So much fun, but also completely broken.

I limit myself to one shot per boss phase when I sunbro. I want the host to get an actual fight, rather than just watching me melt them with my rapidfire unlimited ammo bazooka bow.
