like many things in souls games, using a mechanic to your advantage results in negative consequences, and you have to balance those advantages and consequences to suit your playstyle.
choosing to engage with an optional mechanic and its very clearly stated consequences is not being "forced" to do anything - thats totally absurd. you choose to buy a game that features invasions, choose to install it, and choose to engage with totally optional mechanics that enables totally optional invasions. in no universe is this "forced".
the amount of intellectual incompetence required to look at fromsoft invasions as "forced" is absolutely staggering.
If you want to comment something, then at least comment thaaaaaaat!
Oh well, can just wait till the game slow burns then get it on sale while the griefers who think they are PvPers are either leveled too high for match making or got bored of waiting to invade and moved on to another game.
Not everything needs to copy Fromsoft. They are not infallible and make bad decisions with their games. Stop acting like every game needs to be like a Fromsoft game. You're worse than the people who moan about Easy mode not existing.
it's completely feigned ignorance. forced-invasion supporters know perfectly well that we want coop without PvP, they just pretend not to because what THEY want is the ability to grief unwilling players.
Ding ding, hiding behind ignorance or moving the goal post only to ruin the longevity and support of the game instead of just letting people have the option.
I have beaten Elden Ring solo many times. However only with Co-Op Mod I had more fun. It wasn't easier, it was more convenient. Seamless co op in action RPG's is all we wanted. Exploring dungeons together, fighting bosses and dying.
Just let people play the game the way they want to play it. Simple option for allowing or not allowing invasions and suddenly everyone gets to play as they wanted to.
It's like the games trying to cater to other players offends them, meanwhile, a lot of us just want a game we can finally enjoy with our friends without dealing with obviously griefing invaders because Dark Souls is what it is.
Coop games in general are dull because they are all weightless, mechanically disengaging and nothing but grinds and battlepasses. We ask for something of substance, and we get ♥♥♥♥ in the face. So, i'm going to say what you guys say all the time: don't like how Lords of the Fallen does invasions? Go play a fighting game, or go back to the oh so heralded Dark Souls 3 experience. This game clearly isn't for you either.
