How to get Twig Trees?

I got the Twig Tree upgrade long ago (10+ hours ago in play), but I have not seen a single Twig Tree in the game. It doesn't seem to auto-spawn anywhere.

I tried to farm my own, but it looks like it requires a special "Twig Tree Seed" (that looks green and long), and "Twig Seeds" (the small green ones in threes) only produce Twig Bushes, not Twig Trees. Can't figure out how to produce Twig Tree Seeds, likely need to get them from a Twig Tree, but I can't find those anywhere...

What am I missing?

Ahhh, nevermind. On a hunch, I went to NPC island. Talked to Emilia, she sells Twig Tree Seeds (for one gold nugget each). Okay, that makes sense. The upgrade indicated that Twig Bushes would be REPLACED with Twig Trees (or that they would spawn), but you have to buy the seeds to get started it seems.

You don't need the seeds, they spawn naturally on the island with the bees when you unlock it

You have an upgrade in your skill tree that makes them spawn on bee island one island south of your main island.

Had the same problem as the OP and I haven't seen them spawn on the bee island either and I did clear all islands from the twig bushes multiple times. Guess there is a bug somewhere.

In addition to you only finding those Twig Trees with a specific skill you have to unlock, you can also buy the Tree Seeds from a merchant, and only after you complete that merchant's quest line.

It is not a bug, you need to unlock a special Skill with Skill points to make them spawn.

Twig trees are overrated until late-game
They spawn on the purple ant island where you find the purple rocks for those super steel bars...

Though I never needed any
building AUTOMATED FARMS (bought from the store) you can make soo many twigs!

Note that given time, the birbees will take over all the twig bushes on the island with their nests, which will soak up the plant spawn limit and prevent twig trees from spawning. If you shoot the nests, you can destroy them, harvest the bush, and free up some plant spawn slots. (Note that this will aggravate the birbees.)

Not sure if you can read but it is the first thing the OP said that he did unlock that skill and these trees are not spawning. Same goes for me, but thanks for trying I guess.
