Is there a clue for this or is it brute forcing a random combination? I really don't feel like guessing.

Its random but I'm pretty sure its a combination without any doubles.

When you pull the lever any correctly placed ones will get a blue bubble effect on them. Took me a couple of failed attempts and the third I hit three on the first guess.

There's no repetition, chose every single animal different for slot, the ones that have a bubble effect on them don't change, them change all the other ones, remember, THEY CAN'T REPEAT, the ones that are correct will not appear in the incorrect place. If you do this, you always get it right in the first 5 tries.

For me, i need to use 2 type animal per turn. And set it 2/3 ratio. For example 2 boar, and 3 crab.
