Save lost

Bought at launch, hadn't played for a few weeks. Noticed it had updated today so fired it back up and all progress has been reset.

I've been praising Nova Lands to friends but this has killed my enthusiasm for it completely.

I've effectively lost mine too. I can still load it but it's glitched and 'loading...' tag is permanently stuck on my game and my char can't move or anything. I enjoy the game but not enough to do a full restart since I don't think it has much replayability (and I could just lose my save again anyways). A real shame.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry about this. Losing progress is the worse bug you can get in a game.
Your progress shouldn't have been lost.

We just updated the game right now with changes where we imagine the game could have problems on the loading/saving. Could you please update the game and test again? (make sure you're playing version 1.0.21).

If the problem still persists, we'll talk with you one by one, as I feel you two encountered two different problems.

Hey, thanks for the response. I'm definitely playing 1.0.21 but there were no available worlds to load. I may have overwritten the cloud save earlier.

I've started up a new world but can't assign my first collector bot to the antenna. While all slots are empty, the antenna is mentioning collector-02 and says "this bot is now returning" when there are no other collector bots other than the one in my inventory.

I can't interact with any of the antenna's options in this state.

We just updated the game right now to 1.0.22 fixing that problem with the bot antenna. Could you please test again now?

Oof. Well, this is still an issue in 2025. I just did all the space mining, 3/4 of the packaged deliveries to space, all the production lines between the islands... >< 15'sh hours of mind melting resource management *poof*.

Did you have steam cloud enabled? If so that is the NUMBER ONE culprit with broken/glitched saves. Since I turned that off several years ago, I have not lost a single save since then.
