Any plans to expand the end game?

I've really enjoyed the game but found the end game to be very dissapointing. So I'm curious if there is any plans to improve on this?


Especially the Nova gateway is just a "you beat the game I guess" without really adding anything new. Currently there is little incentive to fully optimize your islands to mass produce the later items. Maybe there could be something interesting done with the credits aswell?
