Work bench?

I have a quest to make a scarecrow, but it requires a workbench. The bench says it is unlocked through a quest, but the scarecrow quest is the only one I have. Anyone know what triggers the quest that unlocks the workbench?

There are 2 scarecrows, you need to craft the lower tier one that doesn't require the bench.

im having the same problem. I put the blueprint down on the land but the quest says to build it but how??? I can't progress unless i craft it but it doesn't say how i can!

after you placed the blueprint on the land, you need to use the hammer on it

You use the hammer, the tutorial quest explained how building works, the same way you did for the tent when you built that :)
