Where is my car??!

I've lost my car in 2 separate saves now! First time, I got side-tracked driving around town, passed out from exhaustion at 3am, woke up in the hospital, no sign of my car anywhere! Second save, I was executing a (probably illegal) 3-point-turn, when a police car drove into me. Cue a night in the cells, a fine, and you guessed it, no car to be found! Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

yeh it was impounded use the phone to go to the vehicle section and click on it and you will have options
