About the chickens

Question:
To get large eggs you have to keep them outside, do you have to keep them outside over night too or just open the door at the morning? And in the colder seasons like fall and winter only inside or they will freeze to death?

And are there notifications when aniamals getting sick? Because from what I saw it takes away too much time check on the health of every animal every morning.

If not, notifications would be a super nice addition.

It was about the 4th and 5th batch that laid them for me. Nothing you need to do, think it's just random. Just sleep the days away as there is nothing else to do when you have to wait on quests.

As long as they have the freedom to roam outside in an enclosed area they will then have the chance to lay large eggs, they are very rare so you should not expect them to lay one every time.
If you have the heating system for your coop then you do not need to fear the winter, they will roam outside for a while and come back in to the warm again and will never have a sickness for thermal stress :)

I believe at the moment sickness is just notified on their information card but it could be an interesting suggestion to include when animals get sick to the daily report card and not just when they are born or pass away.

How about feeding them/letting them get to drink, I filled the troughs with water and hay but they aren't eating by them selfs.....

If they are connected correctly to the coop they will eat and drink once per day in the morning unless they are sick and then they will need to see the veterinarian for treatment.

If I connected them correctly and I have the doors always open do I have to fill both troughs, inside and outside?

No only the inside ones, as they only drink once per day in the mornings they do that at the inside troughs before leaving the coop to roam.

But one additional question. Do you guys know when the game gets it's next patch for fixes and more content? I really wanna buy it, but I would love more roof options and waiting for the mine.

Yes same for food :)

Bug fixes and some QoL fixes based on player feedback will come as and when they are fixed, the developer is already working away on these.
You can follow the live Roadmap[open.codecks.io] as it updates in real time. But I would probably expect that big update to come some time in Q4 as this quarter will probably be focused on the bug fixes and QoL changes.
