Can't sell roosters?

Is it currently possible to sell roosters or chickens in Early Access?

I keep getting male chicks, and eventually my coop fills up with roosters. I only need one rooster for breeding, so I end up with too many.

If selling animals isn't implemented yet, is it planned for a future update?

Hello,

The best and most profitable way is to humanely dispatch of the excess chicks and sell the resulting meat products.

Axe, pickaxe or a weapon from the store, I personally stick to using one of those tools as they are cheaper then bullets :)

okey, it was just a bug, then i can't use left click to do anything after carrying the chiken :s

anyway thank for the awnser.

Not a bug, you just need to keep the chicken on the ground to use your tools/weapons.

yes but i was no able to use left click. (like often..) must have to switch a day or reboot the game.

i found out that all of my roosters that I breed or buy get sick shortly after they get mature with the heat sickness. even though i have the ac/heat and the water/food mods installed. some don't even make it to adulthood the hens starve for a day then are fine after a couple of days even with full food and water. so i just kill the roosters before they get a chance to die.

Are you using the correct heating unit? We have found that a number of people have been using the house decoration heater and AC unit and that is not the correct ones for the coops/barns.
The heating unit is fully working but if your animals are sick before adding the heating system it will not cure the existing sickness, you must go to the veterinarian for treatment.

just click a tool in your hotbar with the mouse and afterwards the left click will work again

Are you using the correct heating unit? We have found that a number of people have been using the house decoration heater and AC unit and that is not the correct ones for the coops/barns.
The heating unit is fully working but if your animals are sick before adding the heating system it will not cure the existing sickness, you must go to the veterinarian for treatment.

Maybe you should consider adding more infos to the items you can buy and a better naming maybe. Not meant in a negative way.

But if so many players struggle with that, I would say we need some more infos about items, or infos why animals died (the reason at the end of the day).

There is already a daily report that will tell you exactly what your animals died of whether it's to thermal stress, starvation, old age etc

As for the other items, it is just a handful of people who listened to the quest but went to the house decorations rather then the animal vendor that sells all things needed for animals :)

There could be a few reasons but there is so many conflicting elements in what you have told me. Let me try and clarify a few things.

You say that when you have chickens you bred when they change from yellow chick to the older hen/rooster model that is when you get the heat sickness?

If so it could be that they haven't linked to the coop correctly when changing form and so then might not be benefitting from the heater you have.

And you turned the heating system on inside the coop at the switch too yes?

Let me know if I'm missing anything.
