Selling Excess Electricity?
How do you sell surplus energy like it says you can in game? At the end of day, I still get charged for staying on the grid despite having more energy. Terminating the contract still doesn't give you money at the end of day either. So how? Is there someone I need to go talk to or is it bugged right now?

You just get deducted the amount you gathered from your other electricity costs which you can see on your daily report. So for a really rough example:
You pay 10 bucks for the contract
You farmed 20 bucks worth of electricity
Your electricity costs from what you have running on your farm comes to 100 bucks
100 + 10 = 110 - 20 leaving you a bill of 90 left to pay, the more energy you farm the more it takes off from your running costs to the point where you farm more energy then you spend and then you start to see the profit coming in.
I get the math involved, but that's not what I was asking. I'm only starting off right now so I only have 2 solar running netting me 26 energy. The only thing I have right now that requires power is the workbench so I have an overage of 21 energy. I was asking who I sell it to as the game says you can at the start.
It automatically adds it to your profits at the end of the day if you have more energy than you are using per day.
Ok then it's bugged for me as I'm not getting anything unless I need to meet a threshold over to start profiting.

This and you just sell your excess energy to the company you have the contract with. And 1 solar panel should cover the workbench just fine, The energy from the second one you get pure profit, how much this is should be shown on your daily overview. And instead of a negative the number should now be possitive.

Ok so I have to be contracted a company first. I haven't gotten to that point yet. Thanks that's the answer I was looking for.

If you haven't a contract yet you won't get any energy either. So if your workbench is working and you pay for your energy you have the contract already.,
I'm confused. I have a surplus of plus 5 energy, but on my daily report it's charging me 33 cents per day for energy. How does that work if I have more energy than I'm using?
At the start it cost you 2c to buy and you get 1c for surplus.
As time progresses you pay 3c and still only get 1c for surplus.
I tried being self sufficient and build enough turbines and panels to replace a small nuclear reactor.
And the next year i needed to build somemore, so i canceled my contracts sold the water tower and autofeed and every excess power and water unit.
You need to pet your chickens anyway,so feeding them manualy is not a big deal.
