How to get Seed from Garlic Harvest

Ive got a crap ton of garlic ive harvested but no seeds. shouldnt i get seeds?

Crops do not give seeds you need to purchase new seeds from the store.

it would be nice if you could gain your seeds from crops.

during the tutorial phase, where you are being shown the GMO guy and then the non-GMO guy, the game seems to imply that you can genetically fiddle with your crops over time, like with only planting seeds of the best results, but I never was able to find the non-GMO person again to see whats up with that.

also, worth noting... the farmer lady who gave you garlic seeds said she wanted some back after you harvested.

i went to that place it said it was open, but did not get an option to buy.. need 16 seeds for the quest..

did not saw a guy, i was where there was a sign about what times they open, and 1 stand was there..
