Big Chicken Eggs, Große Hühnereier

Ich benötige 2 davon für eine Quest. Meine Hühner legen jedoch nur kleine Eier, wie komm ich also an ein großes Huhn das diese legt ?

I need 2 of em for a Quest. Saddenly my Chicken only lay small eggs, so i can't raise a big chicken for the big eggs. How to get the big chicken or eggs ?

You need to have the coop doors open for the chickens to be free ranged for the larger eggs, make sure you have a fence around your coop to secure their roaming area,

The chickens grow, make sure to give them food, water and press the F key every day to give them "affection", this increases the chances of them giving you a large egg, consider that I had to buy 6 chickens, and had to make them do at least 3-4 runs of 6 eggs before getting 2 large ones. This was also the last mission I did, after which no more came out.

all 3 of my chickens just died at the same time. They had food and water both inside the coop and outside in their pen. I was petting them daily as well. what the heck happened?

Maybe they were too hot or cold, there was a hint in the quest line that talked about that..

Just like what happened to me.
What happened is you finally hit 1st of Summer without having a heating & cooling system making the chicks sick without taking them to the veterinarian and progressed the day by sleeping.
You are actually warned about the heating & cooling systems when you do the quest so take is a hard lesson.

Does the dialog even mention this? This is why I haven't been able to progress further!
I'm at 12 hours and got stuck with these damn eggs.

Where do you get a cooling system? I only see the heater for sale?

The heater cools in summer, I think it probably needs to be re-worded to AC unit to be more clear.

Just as in real life, if you compare egg quality to barn kept and free range the free range eggs are the better eggs, so in game if you close them in the coop/barn they will give the more common small eggs only and if allowed to roam in a fenced paddock they give the rarer medium and large eggs.

I bought a heater and a ac. how do i install it to my chicken coop? Tried it with a small coop and a deluxe coop. When I select the ac or heater inside the coop, i can do nothing.
Please help. Its still spring, but i won't loose my chicken in summer or winter.

Hello,

There isn't a separate heater and AC system for the coops and barns, I think you accidently purchased the house decoration items, you need to go to the NPC that you purchased the animals from. Also they are installed on the outside of the coop not the inside :)

Did you place the chickens inside the coop, or just in the outdoor run in front of it? You have to place them inside the coop first so they get registered to it.
