Is it possible for my character to form a romantic relationship with someone of the same gender in the game?
I like games that give players a sense of freedom. :lovegrenade:

It's a choice if you want to make it or not is up to you, you are not forced either way.

Why does it bother you if it's optional?

I dont like games that force wokeness on you, but if its optional I really dont see an issue, if you dont like it just dont do it, simple :) least those who want those features can be happy also

It does not but its a red flag. Which means it could be a sign of other things that are unavoidable. Sometime leftists world views can infest storylines and dialog.

Imagine being such a snowflake, feeling forced by an option. Meanwhile, you want games to exclude queer people.. Every single queer person I know is way tougher than you.

I was not concerned for myself but my young children. They like these type of games and I wanted to get them something new to play before I re-deploy in a few days. So sorry I don't want to give them a big speech about sexuality before I go.
Let's keep it civil people, they are well within their rights to ask such questions and have valid reasons for doing so, I will lock the thread if it continues.

I'm just tired of those anti woke wannabe warriors appearing in each and every commentary section, only to unleash their hate against people. Sorry, if I misunderstood you.

To be fair, you would have to consciously think to even perform those actions, and most children don't think about same-sex romance, let alone romance altogether. Besides, these options have existed in games since before 2010, with The Sims from 2000 having popularized the concept. I guess I'm just surprised that people in 2026 are still surprised that there are same-sex romance options in games despite being optional and easy to ignore. I'm not trying to argue or make a fuss, by the way. I'm just confused as to why it's a big deal, given the points I made. I have young nieces and nephews who come over all the time, and my traditional-minded siblings aren't ready to tell them about same-sex anything, yet not even they are worried about it. (I play same-sex privately in my own saves.)

And if all else fails, just tell your kids it's a bug and move on, lol.
