Horses or Cars?
So after getting to Qubba. I had slaughtered so many Mad Dogs that I had somewhere between 20/50 horses with carts. I sold them all and bought cars and bikes. While I am faster, I seem to be lacking in carry space. So I ask the question, Horses or cars.

Horses ever. There are not so many places where one can get fuel to keep a profitable trade route. There are guides if you want to try it, but i have always felt so much more safer with just good ol´ carts.

Thank you very much sir.

Maintenance costs are much higher on cars, too. You also have to keep their radiators full with water and the gears greased up with lubricant or the repairs will be even more costly. What you save in time and food you will lose to fuel and repairs.

One other thing to consider is that just because you can do a trade route twice as fast doesn't mean you'll make twice the money - towns only have so much money to spend and if you come around with trade goods too often, they won't have regenerated the money you're looking for.

Wish I didn't save over my save with Horses

Camels. Horses use insane ammount of water and food (forgot the term). Plus camels can pull almost the biggest wagons.
Also, as to high cost of fixing cars, if you always have plenty of lubricant and decent repair skills, you will never have to pay for any repairs. Only downside, and I agree, is the availability of fuel. Which is scarse and very expensive.

Horses actually use less forage and water than camels do as long as you're putting all your caravan members into the carts, bringing your speed up to 12. Since you're more than twice as fast you'll spend more water/forage per day -- but since you'll get there in less than half the time, the consumption is actually far less than a camel caravan. Camels can haul the most bulk by far though, but horses are more efficient. In the end it's just a numbers game - if you get enough horses you can carry whatever amount you need anyway, at speed 12. Of course, you'll get to that point far faster with camels.

Another thing to consider is the speed of the opposing forces you'll meet. With camels, there is no way for you to out run certain enemies.

That is.... interesting. Honestly, it never struck me before...

Fastest boys out there are Mad Dogs I think.

They ride horses, yeah, but those Privateer guys with the sand glider things are even faster if the wind is in the right direction, I think.

9/10 they are standing still and are easy pickings for Lilith with her minigun

True, but that 1/10 times they get the wind behind them.... they go light speed :)

Yeah xD when they are maxspeed running, it looks quite amazing. Never tried it myself, but i heard from other players that it gets quite fun.

If you're willing to crash the wasteland economy and oil tycoon your way to near-infinite fuel production, I say vehicles. Otherwise, they're a short-term solution as you'll rapidly put the economy in a position where it can no longer support your vehicles, or at the very least, further caravan expansion. If you're unwilling to meta-game, I would recommend keeping the horses if you're looking for speed, or otherwise goto camels for carryweight and versatility, (CAMEL MILK FOR DAYS BOIS! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!).

If u bought Oil industry and fuel factory - u don't have problem with fuels and with high mechanic skill u don't have problem with repair.
Another question, why are u still need to trading if u have this buisness xD
Sadly - it's part of broken endgame.
