Personal issue on level 2

So, here's my problem. I can't finish level 2 (forgot the name, first time played it yesterday). I kileld all the Viirii, but I'm missing out on 5 Darwinians to finish the last objective. Now my questions is, is there any way to get some extra souls, or do I need to restart the level, and if yes, how?

I'm not aware of any method to create any souls in that level, so I fear a restart is the only option.

in -containment- you have to kill the viri and use the engineer program to collect the "red souls" that drops from fallen viri's.

the engineer's will collect the red souls in the nearby area and transport them to a nearby incubator, which will convert the souls into newly born darvinians.

the first sectors -garden- and -containment- is tutorial sectors, you cannot fail any missons, so if things go haywire, just leave the sector and reset it.

dont be afraid of reseting a sector, reprogrammed (retaken) installations will stay under you control (some installations require darwinians to be under your control).

after retaking "temple sector" you can't reset the sectors anymore.
you have to change profile to "accesallareas" to continue your current progress.
or create a new profile and start again with no upgrades.
