Cashier Menu?

I'm trying to place a cashier at the register. I hired a new employee under the management tab, but when I click on the register, the spot where it says "assign an employee" is blocked out. It's telling me to hire one, but I can't seem to do it?

Hi, I only bought this game today. I've been trying to hire a cashier too. I think it's level locked. I think you need to be level 5 to assign a cashier. Hope this helps.
