I know small game devs need the money and by no way do I undervalue your product, on the contrary. I in no way expect any form of compensation as you are not directly responsible for the situation this puts you in. This is mere curiosity at best.

Hold on tight and I wish you all the luck possible in getting out of this situation without loosing too many feathers.

We had this plan before, but it was rejected by Valve. Since the ownership of Bio Prototype did not belong to our team at the time of the ban, we were unable to get permission to bundle it with other games We will continue to explore other options for a special discount for BP owners. The worst case is that the sequel will be launched at a lower discount.

Artifact Seeker seems to have re-released under a different name, so giving that a whirl may be worth while. I don't know what it requires to do such a thing but that seems viable.

Pretty garbagey that Steam punishes the Developer because the Publisher messed things up for the whole class. Goodluck in your endeavors and I'm looking forward to buying a sequel and potentially a re-release if that happens.

Can someone explain to me like I'm five why a game development studio would need to get in bed with a "publisher" to list a game on Steam? Seems to me like a completely unnecessary entity nowadays that only exists to drain money from developers.

Doesn't Steam already do that though? I see Steam telling me about games I've never heard of before literally every day. In fact Bio Prototype was one of them and had nothing at all to do with any publisher. I didn't even know there was a publisher involved until I read this post and my only question was WHY?!?!

While the news of this ban really caught me off guard, I'm happy to know that there are still plans for a new game in a short while. Hope your endeavors are fruitful.

This whole situation sucks, but I'm glad you're all working through it. Bio Prototype was one of the few Suvivors style games to have an original hook, and 2 is a day-one buy for me.

Hope you can still get at least a semi decent part 2 on the road somehow, preferably without some sweet baby incs kiss of death or any chinese publishers aboard.
