BioPrototype features questions
Hello! I'm working on the 'wiki' for r/survivorslikes ( https://reddit.com/r/survivorslikes ) and have gotten to Bio Prototype! It's one I'm quite enjoying so far, but I've only got a limited amount of gameplay time in so I was hoping some more experienced players (or a dev perhaps) might be able to help me with a couple questions:

- Are there invincible / broken builds possible? I think this is yes, from looking at YouTube, but was curious how people thought.
- Do any weapons require any sort of aiming or enable it in any way? I think no, right?
- Are there any 'currency' based unlocks? I think it's all goal based right?
- Are there any 'power up's or other drops, I think it's mostly the resource for powering up, right?
- are there a lot of 'bosses' later in the game on other stages? or at all?
- Is there an unlockable and browsable 'bestiary' of enemies?
- Any "secrets" like kind of easter eggs or cheats or anything else you think counts?
- What would you say the "run time" is supposed to be? It's hard for me to tell since I spend so much time trying and testing my ability layouts.

I think that's everything. I try to find out gameplay features in 60 different categories, if you want to check it out the shortlink is https://survivorslikes.com. you can let me know if I got it wrong in any of the others! Thanks so much for your help and I'm looking forward to playing more!

I'm not super experienced, but here goes:
1° "Are there invincible / broken builds possible?" Probably. I haven't found any that qualify yet - maybe some extreme efficiency on Fairy/Gargoyle Wings would be broken.
2° No aiming required.
3° Yeah, so far all unlocks and perks are based on goals.
4° The root types count as power ups and drops. You can obtain armour, freeze enemies, or even heal.
5° Boss enemies do exist in later levels, and you must fight them in a slowly closing rectangle that causes damage. They are to elites what elites are to normal enemies, and in higher difficulties get a speed buff the longer they stay alive.
6° "Is there an unlockable and browsable 'bestiary' of enemies?" No. Never found one, at least.
7° "Any 'secrets' like kind of easter eggs or cheats or anything else you think counts?" I'm a big fan of certain organ combinations that make special sprites. When clubs are made to inflict poison, they are replaced with tentacles. Offspring type organs get some interesting features when paired with coral belly etc.
8° Depends on difficulty. In normal mode you can expect 20-35 minutes. You can clock over an hour in endless mode.

awesome, thank you. That pretty much lines up with what I landed at, made a note adding the drop stuff. If you feel like you can look it over at https://survivorslikes.com and just right click on any cell and click "comment" with any other corrections. I think I have everything on this one now though, but I still have to actually fill out the notes on the controls

I'd be happy to help. There are several games on there that are in my library, and I've definitely put more hours into Genesia and Nova Drift. The level of detail for what you already put together is astounding. If there is anything good to add in you'll see a comment, possibly email if the word count gets excessive.

P.S. The table is also super useful as a recommendation list, thanks :happyNV:

haha awesome thank you! feel free to drop by the spreadsheet meta discussion discord too if you have any questions or advice. The easiest way to add a full review or comparison for a game that has no info (def the priority) is by doing a survey, we made shortlinks for those too:
Part 1: https://scorecard-form.survivorslikes.com (players and devs, multiple choice feature checklists, etc)
Part 2: https://review-form.survivorslikes.com (players only, subjective review, notes about if you recommend it)
in theory any game can be put in there, to test the scale we did Call of Duty 2 and Rogue for example lol
