Mouse input - Negative acceleration/input dropping thread
So the game is not using raw mouse input but is instead either dropping input or has some kind of negative mouse acceleration.
This Isnt normal mouse smoothing.

In short:
If you move your mouse 10 cm slowly you will turn WAY more than if you move your mouse 10 cm quickly.
This is not acceptable for a PC game.

Ive tried to sort this out using the config files but it seems the files ignore all added commands that arent there already. Changing the framerate limiter thats already there in GameUserSettings works for example but added things seems to be ignored. The game writes to these files upon opening and closing. Read only doesnt help the game take the commands either.
The below commands does nothing (standard UE4 commands)
Ive tried to put them both in GameUserSettings, input and engine but nothing seems to make it better.

Raising the camera sensitivity doesnt help, it just makes it less prominent since you move the mouse less.

The solution should likely be a patch that allows Raw input. UE4 has a native plugin for it.

Ive tried this with a Glorious Model O @ 800 DPI (and 3200 DPI) and a Logitech Pro wireless @800 DPI (and on two separate computers).
Its exactly the same.

Please post here if you have this issue(everyone using a mouse should), include type of mouse and anything you tried.

Got a hold of Mitch, the community manager and he has passed the issue and related info on.

I've got it working now. I evidently didn't try everything. So in the "Keyboard/Mouse" menu I dropped "Mouse Input Sensitivity" to zero. No more issues. I was also wrong in that it wasn't a minimum movement problem. It was an acceleration problem. If I moved the mouse to slow the game would not register it in game. As I said, dropping sensitivity to zero, even though that seems backwards to me, makes the game fully playable. Hope this helps.
Update: I still have the problem but it's only noticeable on heavily zoomed in weapons like sniper rifles. Every other weapon seems fine and I can only detect the problem if I really try to move the mouse slowly. It is exacerbated by zooming in but no where near as bad as the sniper rifles.

Logitech G600 - 300 DPI

It's pretty unbearable, so I'll be unable to play the game until they get it fixed.

If it matters, the acceleration stat on accessories affects turn speed etc

The update today fixed nearly all mouse issues (acceleration and smoothing)! The only thing left is that it doesn't detect micro movements at certain DPIs, but it's very playable now!

Playable is subjective. Heck I'd say it's "playable" too but it's still garbage. It does not track mouse movement correctly and is using some hacked together solution to make something barely passable. I'm not even an FPS nut or anything and am still comfortable saying trying to aim with any kind of precision just feels so bad.

You've tried it with the patch from two hours ago..? Because it's definitely playable, the only problem before was it had negative and positive acceleration, and smoothing, all three of those things are gone. I am an FPS nut and it feels great now. It feels like raw mouse input (other than the "micro movements being ignored" thing).

Edit: Also make sure you have "Mouse Input Sensitivity" set to 0. The name is misleading, it's basically a deadzone setting. "Camera Sensitivity (Mouse)" handles mouse sensitivity.

I'm hearing mixed reports - some saying it's not fixed and others saying it is fixed. Can anyone perhaps provide more context on their opinion? I refunded the game simply because of this issue but I would buy it again while the sale is on if I can be adequately convinced this is truly fixed.
