Matchmaking
The current lobby system for classics does not seem to work very well. Well, it is great for playing with friends but otherwise? Not so much. People tend to leave games after they die, so there will almost always be a small lobby size after a game and it always seems to be faster to just quit and join another existing lobby. I hope there are plans to implement a dedicated matchmaking system to circumvent this.

Not necessarily ranked, I am thinking of:

1.) some way to automatically bring lobbies together, so that it is easier to get into 15-person lobbies (I don't know how feasible implementing this would be). At the moment it takes too long to fill up lobbies and that process starts again after every round since so many people leave when they die. I don't know if the player population is just too low but it feels like the time in between rounds takes longer than actually playing the game. There might be multiples of small lobbies open at the same time. So my "dream matchmaking system" would join these automatically (unless they want to have a private lobby).

And 2.) a dedicated game mode with more diversity regarding the roles. I mean being able to create completely custom games is nice but shouldn't at least some of the additional roles be playable in some sort of standard game mode?

I think more or less a penalty for leaving, and shouldn't be a penalty you can just get through by going offline. That would stop people from leaving just because they died.

With the ability to save custom lists and use those custom lists I think this will mostly be unnecessary. We plan to have Classic, Custom, and some specialty modes. Popular modes will get played in custom, otherwise they aren't really all that popular if you could import a list easily and autopopulate it.

A way to merge classic lobbies might be good though. It might just be a small userbase right now issue though. There is also an argument to not merge groups maybe.

I feel like the way you guys had it in town of salem was a really good way of doing it, Start a game fills up, after game ends, end of game lobby so you can chat, add people if you enjoyed playing with them and then start up a new game.

Okay, so you're seeing customs as the main way the game is meant to be played? This is okay, now that I understand it, but I find it a bit odd, because I would rather just like to join a more standardized game mode and classic is lacking in that regard. It also seems to be the only mode playable in chat only mode?
