Offline sadly isn't available as far as I know (cries in steamdeck), but single player is an option that is viable to play.

It's fine aside from the narrative dissonance of wondering why everyone is talking like they helped in cutscenes

Full playable single player, coop is optional.

Thanks, the offline part of the questions it about future play-ability, since interest for this game has gone down, hence once the servers go, so does the game.

Yeah they should really fix that quick or else the game will fade away. Always online is a cancer on the gaming industry

Wait just to confirm was interested in picking this up, you can play this offline? Or is it Single Player with a Persistent Internet Connection Required? Very tempted to buy it based on the very cheap price tag.

Needs Internet even on single player to save. Bog design flaw, but still worth it for this cheap

Oh that's really lame.

Tell me about it... I can't actually bring this anywhere on Steam Deck because of it

As far as I can tell, you only need to be online for the first time opening the game. I got this on the winter sale, and couldn't open it on my steam deck because when I started the game, it told me I needed to be online. Once I booted the game up connected to my wifi, I had no more issues with that. I was able to play on the go just fine.

Their website says you don't need online to play it solo.

Is an internet connection required to play Gotham Knights?
A: An internet connection is not required to play Gotham Knights solo, although you’ll need to be online for two-player, online co-op with a friend.

I'll have to test this later... the last time I tried to take my deck on a long train ride with me it wouldn't load without an Internet connection (granted this was before the latest update so who knows?) And I had to play other games instead because it saves to some server I think

To test, I just pulled my ethernet cable out and ran Steam offline. Gotham Knights then launched and played fine offline too.

they're probably talking about the console version. PC version has denuvo which requires periodic server authentications in order to play. you need an internet connection to play the PC version.

No you don't. This is a great teaching moment though for why you don't listen to random people on the internet. The natural tendency for people is to either speak without actually knowing what they're talking about or flat out lying. Since this is a fairly easy thing to test I think we can all be sure which one this user is going with.

I like to thanks you players for your responses, it really been helpful. Their is no need to get personal. I been their, done that, is not prove beneficial to me, but I am only human! Ha! Ha!

Now back to the worth it part, single player offline worth it?

Buggy?
Re-playable?
Interesting from a batman lore perceptive?
Is this more of a FPS than a RPG?
