I think most people tend to believe that Batgirl is the closest of the four to the Arkham series’ Batman.

She can hold her own in melee, has various abilities that make stealth viable, and she can glide around.

I would even go so far as to say that sometimes it feels like GK was originally intended to be a solo Batgirl game given how the game is put together and how her dialogue/scenes are.

If I had to pick one, I would probably go with Batgirl but with a HEAVY caveat that at no point are you ever going to get that punchy, immediate, impactful movement style that you get in the Arkham games. It doesn't matter what character you pick or how you choose to play, it will never feel quite as fluid or as engaging mechanically as the Arkham titles.

To be honest. I think this game would have been VASTLY better had they picked a single character and stuck with them. Batgirl would be a decent choice and so would Robin. Either way. One character to focus on would have given them the opportunity for effective writing, a compelling character arc, and more focused plotlines.

I'd be down for a solo Batgirl game. She has a good amount of things that can be mined from her history to make it a good story. Would be interesting to focus in on ptsd effects from the paralysis, stress from keeping secrets from her dad, etc.

I think the belief is that a Batgirl game wouldn’t be able to move copies, and I think that belief is probably right.

The Bat-verse is easily DC’s most recognizable, popular, and profitable IP…but Batman needs to be included.

Despite how interesting and well developed the other characters are, I feel like time and again when something attempts to utilize the Bat-verse w/o Bruce…it ends up only getting limited appeal.

Gotham Knights is a good example of this, but you can also reference the Gotham and Batwoman television shows as well as if you to compare the success of Batman comics with the ones focusing on Batgirl, Batwoman, Red Hood, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Batwing.

yeah, Red Hood is bulky and slow LOL. I like Nightwing. he is agile. Robin feels too soft LOL

It's too much like Avengers combat system to compare to Arkham, which it shares almost nothing with at all. I think the most "Arkham" thing about the game is the interrogations during combat. Though Arkham interrogations you had to clear everyone but the person to be interrogated, in GK, you can do it right in the middle of battle and the other mobs just watch you. Rather amusing that they just stand there in awe.

That dialogue can be attributed to any of the characters. Play as Red Hood and the dialogue makes it sound like he was the intended hero. One of the saving graces of the game is that dialogue and its ambiguity.

I get attacked when doing interrogations in combat and get interrupted.

I would die for a Birds of Prey game with the classic Line-Up (Huntress, Oracle and Black Canary)

As for the topic, yeah, probably Batgirl movement-wise, she can glide like batman and her stealth action is pretty similar, even tough, Robin can grapple the enemies and leavem them hang like in Arkham games.
