Heroic Assault Thoughts
Is it possible to be excited and disappointed at the same time?

After mulling through the first 5 floors with a full squad, it was a relief to finally have a head smashing mode with a full team, good FPS indoors, get some music blasting, but.. man is it a little mundane. Kill, sprint to next area, grab chests in same repeat locations, kill, sprint to near area, grab chests, kill.. and so forth.

Does anyone know if this is the same through all 40 floors? Are there boss fights, anything that changes up?

I also noticed you don't really get blueprints in the first 10-15 floors. Does that change in the later floors? When I found out I wasn't getting any, I was forced to return to story mode to farm them.

Overall, it's a good time, but I was hoping this would be in the open world and slightly less repetitive.

What're your thoughts?

It's ..sadly the same, with very minimal differences along the way, save for floor 30(though even the tasks of that have been done along the way).. It leaves a lot to be desired and this comes from someone who's been more neutral about this game, with a lean towards positive as I love the co-op aspect. But this seemed poorly thought out or it's poor hindsight as the only way to get the new level 60 gear is from floor 30, which is a terrible escort mission, and a one time only get of level 60 sets for all characters from Talia's Showdown. If this was an intended thing then the devs have dealt a swift death to patrol grinding and their open world, as after grinding out 60 gear in HA [or anything pass 40+ for that matter], the open world mobs only drop level 40 gear which is instantly scrapped for parts due to being obsolete. But for anyone that wants to stomp hard mode in open world then the level 60 gear will easily do that for you.

I want this game to be and do better so that it can go off and become it's own trilogy/tetralogy, giving it time to become greater with each installment, but I'm mostly concerned with the backlash that may kill it and result in us going another 5 or more years without another game (or no game at all), which could result in them either reverting to single player campaigns or them trying to reinvent the wheel again, just to fail.
