So I know any AMD graphics card users are experiencing this error mainly with Mr. Freeze heist mission, but I have gotten to the Harley Quinn fight mission and it doesn't seem to be possible, I have a AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, the recommended GPU for the game, and this “A call to a D3D12 API Falled with D3D HRESULT error code: 887A0005 DXGI ERROR DEVICE_ REMOVED with Reason: DXGÍ ERROR, DEVICE HUNG. Please try updating your GPU drivers.” Error is constant, id get anywhere between 5 minutes and 4 hours of gameplay each time i start the game, its inconsistent. Ive tried the fixes, even one thing for the startup of the game but none have fixed it, so be warned if you got passed mr freeze and think youre safe, youre not

I run this on Linux and that crash goes away.. yet when I suggest it people ignore the suggestion, Ubuntu is just like windows and easy to use and install apps on, because it has an app store, install steam on it, install game via steam, switch game compatibility to proton hotfix, run the game, no crashes

AMD user here too, the only thing that worked was opening the AMD software app, clicking settings (in the top right corner), click on preferences, then de-select in-game overlay option (top option).

This worked AFTER, fresh install of dx12, checking for any driver updates (cpu/gpu) and making sure steams overlay was also off. hope it works for you as well as i was frustrated and stuck at the same fight

The fixes people have for this do not actually work. What temporarily fixes it is restarting the game. So whenever people try to fix it, they restart and it seems fixed. It'll show up again later.

I have tried so many things. Verify game files, updating drivers, disabling overlay, trying 3 different advanced start up commands, low settings/high settings, run as admin, I even did registry edits. It crashes 20x an hour and some missions later on in the game are unplayable.
It'll crash on molotov cocktails, momentum specials, certain areas of maps, etc etc. It's some sort of lighting effect triggering it.

Literally just walking into certain rooms will trigger it.

Yeah I got that error a few times in star labs and after completing the mission the game just runs like complete ♥♥♥♥ now, ran perfectly fine before 🥲

Exactly what this comment says, I've done everything, the game is literally unplayable 100% of the way, I can't seem to even enter the Harley boss fight because it keeps crashing, I've tried everything too, nothing works at all.

I cranked down my fps harley quinn fight in 30fps, it seemed to be the only thing that worked. im running a rx6800 and the amount of crashes ive delt with is ridiculous.

Try installing the latest visual c++ redistributable. I'm not convinced that it's not just a coincidence, but I've gotten 15 hours of game play without a crash since installing the 2015 - 2022 version.

I kept crashing trying to get into the building for the Mr. Freeze heist all 3 times I tried doing it and reinstalling Directx from Microsoft's website made it stop doing that.

Do you have AMD or Nvidia GPU? If its Nvidia, then you wont be suffering this particular issue, just terrible optimization.
