Game crashes while logging in

So when I start the game, I sit through the unnecessarily long intro of the logos and when the game says "logging in" I stare at that screen for 20 secs until a message pops up saying "The application has hung and will now shut down. We apologize for this inconvenience."

how tf do I fix this? I haven't read about this exact situation at all so far. Only situations of the game not starting at all or crashing at a certain story point or whatever...

I also having this problem since yesterday and I have to play the game offline steam mode in order to avoid the crash. Did you find the solution for this?

To be honest, not really. I gave the game admin rights and did many more of the crash fixing things but none of that helped. Instead after trying it out more times it just suddenly worked and ever since I was able to actually play the game, the problem never occured again. Maybe the servers were just overloaded?

Did this problem occur before you were able to actually play or not? Because maybe it only happens when you try to play the game for the first time.

Oh another thing: I use Razer Cortex to boost my games, but somehow Gotham Knights doesn't work with that and instantly crashes when you try. Just in case this may also happen to you.

I found the fix by deleting Chroma Folder (or moving the Chroma Folder elsewhere) in the game's Win64 Folder and turning off RGB Peripherals option in the in-game settings. After I did those things, I do not get a crash anymore during logging in screen and can play the game without a problem.

After using TAU5 instead of DLSS, the game runs ALOT better

May I ask, how did you access the ingame settings if it crashes via login? Did you change it in a .ini file?

you can go to users/yourusername/appdata/local/ and show hidden files, then go to wb games/gothamknights/steam/GameUserSettings.ini and change it to FALSE. its the first setting listed in the main section.

I played the game on steam Offline mode. When I played the game offline, I didn't get that crash
