Another "I can't join my friends" thread...

So, over 10 hours of trying continuously to join one another, we have had no luck playing coop this whole launch day. We tried from main menu, in game, steam friends list, Epic friends list, etc etc etc. Nothing but "Failed to Join Session". This is on PC btw just to point it out.

We sit and watch Shroud easily have friends join his games, while we wait to even play the game till this fixes. Has anyone found anything for this yet? Anyone playing coop legitimately with no issues on connecting? We've tried EVERYTHING.

Someone has mentioned they got it working by being on the same local network or using hamachi, but they could be lying.

I think Hamachi is what we are going to try tomorrow. Been following all threads here, Reddit, and your post above. We are just spent from all day trying lol.

tried hamchi didnt work unless i was meant to do some certain setting then idk

We tried hamchi and changing the TCP ports and UDP ports and nothing has worked.

Put yourselves in the DMZ on your router. that's the best option to over ride any issues that might be blocking.

Yeah same for my bf and me- were trying everything for hours, restarting gotham knights/steam over and over again, checking the files- reinstalling..., neither hamachi, nor inviting through steam, instead of in game, worked for us... very depressing we were looking forward for weeks for this :/ I just really hope they fix this fast

Soooo I just spent almost 3 hours in co-op... we had just one instance when my game disconnected me but after another invite, all was well...
So I wonder why some people are still not able to join their friends...

We just pushed a server side fix that should solve the issue where some PC players couldn't join each other's game! Server side so no need for a game update, just go back to main menu and continue (or relaunch).

SO this was just a partly fix. My BF and me live in the same apartment, so we are using the same connection and it still does not work. However, we tried to connect through a mobile hot spot and the other with our normal connection and it works just fine. But obviously this is not a perfect solution, since the mobile connection costs extra/is slower, etc... We never had this issue with other games, so there should be some solution to it. We would be very grateful, if you could investigate this further and that we will be able to play from the same connection. I am sure there are more couples or siblings/families, who are using the same connection as well and might have similar problems

Just an update, Hamachi worked perfect for us. We played all day and night yesterday with no drops in connection.

This is what fixed the issue for us, it was related to not having the latest batch of trusted certificates from Windows.

1. Press the Windows Key
   
2. Type "Powershell"
   
3. Right click on power shell and click "Run as administrator."
   
4. Paste and run following lines in the window.

certutil.exe -generateSSTFromWU roots.sst
$sstStore = ( Get-ChildItem -Path roots.sst )
$sstStore | Import-Certificate -CertStoreLocation Cert:\LocalMachine\Root
