Can't use controller in menus?

I'm using a wired xbox controller. It shows keyboard prompts in the menu and when I try to scroll up or down it skips sections of the menu and won't let me select them.

yeah, im having problems with the controller as well. what bothers me is the double inputs in the menus and while gaming...

It doesn't work some reason. My controller works fine in the other games I own.

I'm having the same issue. I think it detects two configs...one steam virtual 360 and one gamepad. Don't know how to disable. Tried disabling Steam desktop controller but that didn't work.

I am using the xbox elite 2 controller and have no issues in the menu's

Are you using a third party xbox controller? Mine is a turtle beach recon controller

having the same issue even RB and LB skips as well thought my controller was broken until i tested other games its just this game that does it.

Same issue with wireless Xbox One Elite controller, however plugging it in as a USB controller seems to fix the issue.

Will also wait until its fully charged to see if that makes a difference when wireless

to fix the double inputs try changing the controller settings for the game from Properties -> Controller to Enable Steam Input if the problem still persists try with disable. It fixed it entirely.

That solved the problem by disabling it.

I had the same problem. I have Gotham Knights on Epic, I found having Steam open was causing my issue.

Just had a similar problem, myself. The game froze for a second, entered the main menu, and then stopped recognizing my Xbox Series X controller.

Unplugging and replugging the controller via USB cord helped a little, in that the game recognized it again... but I was having double input issues and the buttons prompts kept randomly switching between Xbox controller ones and keyboard ones. It sucked.

Restarting the game resolved it, for now... but I have no idea when it will happen again. It was a very odd glitch.

U have to click on library in steam and right click on Gotham knights. Where it just shows the names of your games and not the covers

Common issue on steam. I've had that happen with numerous games.
