Timed Strike with Red Hood?

Trying to do it in the tutorial, no idea how to though.
Anyone managed to do it with Red Hood?

Figured it out.
As soon as you hit the enemy once you use Q for the quick range attack.

I'm still stuck on this, I'm just hitting like normal, ya? then q right before the hit? trying right afterwards too, still no luck

ohhhh, I got it now. "hit" meaning you're shooting. the original shot is to be followed up with successive shots at the right time.

I just used the melee, left click once then Q for ranged.
