Have you checked if you are maybe required to complete a certain starting part before unlocking the coop? Usually games does have that kind of lock for the first 10-20m of the story

Same here can't join friends I have unlocked the option to join friends

Same issue here. Matchmaking works fine but joining/inviting isn't working. My guess is a day one bug that will (ideally) get fixed soon. Tried looking up if its an issue with region specific servers, i.e. Someone on the west coast is on a separate server from east coast, but didn't find anything like that online

This is NOT true. Thats just one mode that isn't available until November 10.
