PRELOAD TIME?

ive seen websites saying you can preload already but i dont see anything yet on steam. any idea?

Isn't preloading usually awful on steam? I download the games into a playable state faster if i don't preload. It's weird.

Idk man im not used to buying games on steam and its actually my first one

It depends on your Drive. The game needs to unpack at launch if you pre-load it, the speed it does it at, is influenced by your SSD/HDD (SSD being a lot faster obviously), and just how fast your computer is. For some people though, their download speed is going to be much faster then their unpack speed. Really just depends.

I've seen sites saying the PS5 preload was today and I think maybe they made assumptions that the PC preload would also happen today, but no dice.

they said we can preload the game 48hrs before the initial launch. as of now there hasn't been any download option in my library for Gotham Knights.

Well they said this before "You can pre-load the digital version of Gotham Knights at midnight on October 19, 2022, giving you exactly 48 hours to install the game onto your console/PC."

You can preload on Xbox and PlayStation, so hopefully PC preload will be very shortly.

Must be good having net like that, but for many it isn't like that. It will take me a few hours to download a game of this size, so going for the pre-load then the unpack is a better option for me to play sooner on release.

The 30 or so times i have pre-loaded it's been fine.

I've never had a problem with preloads on Steam but I am surprised it hasn't gone live by now

Preloading really only sucks if you have a harddrive versus any type of SSD.

Game is launching on friday for steam doubt we'll get a preload because of this.
