No. I own a Steam Deck as well, but why on earth would you play a game that requires you to be online on a device that is meant to be used on the go. Thats like buying an Xbox or PS5 for Angry Birds.

I played Arkham knight on my steam deck it worked awesome and my son loved being Able to play my whole steam library as well on the go so yeah I get why you would want it on the steam deck some people can't fathom why others would do something and just label it as a on the go device when there is so much more you could do with it but yeah if it's anything like the games that have been coming out and if steam keeps it up with proton I don't see why it wouldn't unless there is like 3rd party stuff but even then that seems to work still on the deck

Online is not required, one can opt out of co-op

Denuvo means that you have to be online for the server to check if you are allowed to play the game. All Denuvo games require a constant connection.

I came here looking for answers on a steam deck interpretation of the recently released PC specs, only to find someone acting like the only way to play bigger budget (or online) PC games is tethered to their PC rig. The disappointment :/

I'll leave this here and see things breaking to you...
Q: Is an internet connection required to play Gotham Knights?
A: An internet connection is not required to play Gotham Knights solo, although you’ll need to be online for two-player, online co-op with a friend.

PS:
There is a difference between Denuvos DRM service and Denuvos Anti-Tamper technology

Played Arkham City on steamdeck last night was wonderful. Will keep an eye on this pc version of Gotham Knights and see how it turns out on PC and the deck, but no way I am preordering, those specs are outrageous (For 1080p to)

what exactly is outrages about asking for a 4 year old graphics card to play at high settings?
sorry, but its 2022, not 2012.

The steam deck might burn if you run this game

Apparently it doesn't work. I watched Skill Up and DF, one of the two reviewers said it didn't launch, even on GE latest Proton.

The game performance horrible, stop making excuses for this trash. My friend has a 3080 and the game is running like trash, stop sticking up for companies that do horribly optimized games. Even the some what positive reviews say its horrible optimization

"The story is only serviceable and the performance is disappointing. "
"Everything in Gotham Knights is done better in another game; some with Batman and some without."

No thanks, but by all means feel free to support horribly optimized games, I won't.

the hardware can run the game

however it currently won't boot in SteamOS/Linux, only Windows. Wouldn't surprise me if an update for Proton or ProtonGE fixes any compatibility issues.

I love how no matter what settings he uses it still sits at 30 fps.

Honestly, on a screen as small as the Deck's is, 30fps is workable 99% of the time.
