Gotham Knights has a lot less polish and flair compared to Knight and even the older titles. It also has less unique set-pieces with higher focus on farming items in the city instead.
One would even argue the game looks worse than Knight.
Generally the game itself isn't super bad but not worth the asking price IMO and if you wanted another Arkham game you'll just end up feeling like you're playing a budget version of it.
I'm now so far that I have to work with support to make the game playable, because I just can't get past the beginning missions because the game keeps crashing in the bell tower.
I can't recommend this game to anyone at the moment. Not even if it were free.
Whereby we come straight to the price, which is much too high.
If I look at Spiderman Remastered in comparison, then I know that Gotham Knights can cost a maximum of 20 €. And that's sad for me compared to other games that offer much better graphics, handling, etc.
I hope to be able to play Gotham Knights half way or even the end because I'm just stuck and frustrated
Well I consider gothem knights as the base or the platform start and can see alot of growth opportunities, I mean if cyberpunk 2077 can get better, so can this.
Same as with Origin, the Batgirl DLC was built on what Arkham Knight already made, so as good as they are at using pre-existing bases, they aren't very good at creating their own.
I think of most games including AAA games to be early access games at this point, Its more like a investment. remember the good ol'days when a game would come out and it would need just a 'Day One' patch and the game would be good forever. ahh I miss those days lol
It's pc launch was worse then Gotham knights, they even pulled it from pc. Ended up playing it on PlayStation then PC because of the problems. I prefer Arkham Asylum and City by far over Knight.
Arkham had smoother combat but I'm still enjoying Gotham Knights.
However if your unsure about buying it I would personally give it some time to see what the next week or so of patches does. Currently the patches haven't really pushed the bar far in my opinion. Just kinda solving problems but causing others at equal amount.
