So the game says fuse and have fun, and go for interesting combinations, but nothing different ever seems to be crafted, i tried a number of combinations and all the results are modchips i already have? Am I missing something? Anyone care to explain? Thx

Seems like it's RNG on what mod chip will come out of it, though I've never had enough of the rarer mods like 4 Heroic Crit DMG/Crit Chance mods or something along those lines to try with.

I've combined 4 regular white mods and gotten rare crit mods out of it even though they were all elemental damage up.

It also seems like the first mod you choose in the set dictates the level and type of mod you'll get most of the time.

Hmm, so i guess once you hit level 30 fusing them to get better ones is kind of obsolete, i have soo many Epic mods, so im currently doing challenges to get Heroic Mods from Lucius or going for the VERY HARD Crime Scenes for the legendary drops.

Depends on if you go into NG+ or not, since it increases the level cap to 40.

Also depends on the rarity you're going for, might as well throw junk mods together and hope they get an upgrade in rarity.

I'm not sure what the highest rarity mod you can get is by combining lower grade ones, highest I've gotten so far is blue/rare rarity.

yeah the mod fusing is one of the "I don't know why it's there???".

The fusing part is just weird, my expectations was upgrading to max rarity and random stats. But they all have the same states based on rarity, and cannot fuse anything above epic (Purple).

The interesting combos they mention is do you want Crit damage, Crit chance, or an elemental effect? or maybe a mix of them.

The armor seems to be do you want Armor or health?

Also side note I was doing same thing getting best gear before I switched to New game plus and grinding to level 40. The gear quickly becomes weak compared to the higher level stuff. A Rare mod 1 level higher was better then a legendary sometimes

Yeah i really thought i could go in and do some really cool combos but after sitting there and fusing mods for a while i told my self, this is really lackluster, I haven't New Game +'d yet. But i hope future patches expand on this area if they really care about this game lol.

so from what i see you can select 4 mods and in the right side it will tell you what you will get and as far as i've seen there is only 1 type of craftable suit mod which is the hp one and then there are the 2 types of range and melee mods for crit or element any other types seem only obtained from doing challenges for ally rewards. legendary level mods can only be obtained not made so purples will never be yellow. as far as what type you get it seems to be a large chance of being a certain mod if all of them are the same mod but it is pretty much just rng what you get. hope this helps and hope mods get updated cuz they kinda basic rn.

Also are you saying Dont grind for legendary gear yet? just New Game plus and then grind for it?

You're going to replace all of your gear in a few hours in NG+ no matter the rarity.

It doesn't really get hard, even on hard difficulty, until the actual NG+ end game where the level 42 enemies are. Assuming you are using elements that enemies are weak to as you progress.

How do you insert them once you have them? I still haven't figured that one out either.

Some costumes have mod slots you see a little square and press X if it has a mod slot you can equip it.

I see now that none of my equipment has slots. Also, Ive been trying to add the modchip through the modchip screen and not the equipment screen. Thank you!

No worries took me ages as well.. the mod slots needed to be bigger or better shown imo.

It's not that hopeless, you can craft legendary suit ones at least, take 3 Purple Health Mods, and a Blue Resist Mod and it makes a Legendary Resist. I fused some fox health mods down to purple to craft myself another legendary earlier.

its just a way to get rid of the ones you dont want and so modchips dont get full so you can keep getting the ones you want
jeremyj621 Dec 9, 2022 @ 11:23pm
Is it possible to craft Legendary mods? I've combined 4 Epic mods, but only end up with an Epic mod, of equal power to the ones I fused together. It seems the only benefit of fusing Epic mods is to free up space.
