Edit: Wanted to add that if you only want your custom clips to play you'll need to put the vanilla clips in a temp container folder and leave yours in the main VideoClips folder.
I recommend a tool like Aegisub for making srt files too. It's what I used to do all of the clips in the game

Assuming you already know how to make the srt file for a custom clip, you would just have to make sure that the [male_dub] or [female_dub] section of the srt file ends before the end of the clip. You can place the input section at any point in the clip for basically any duration
How does it work? How the game knows what part of the clip i want to mute and when the subtitles with the re-dub should show up? Could you explain step by step the process. I would be massively interested
