The 2 versions are considered like 2 different games by Steam, so you have a separate save for each one of them ...
So no chance at all they "erase each other" when both installed same time ...
I don't know what your problem is, but for sure, not one version "overwriting" the other.
i not lose my save game but its download all back wen switch, anyway to got them both instaled same time whitout got to download each time
Two different directories. Won't mess up any one saved.
i not speak abuot the save game....
wen i go back to normal UE4 he re isntall all the files.. 3G then weni go play EU5 its download back the 5 G.. each time i switch but i know this not affect the save game

I wish it was a toggle option in the menu, but I am very gald I can AT LEAST go back to the 0.3.70 version which I never got to play (I stopped playing around 0.3.2+), that has that whole other area with tons of quests and characters, and content.

However, I'm pretty sure that what you want is a toggle in the game. Like in the option menu, right?

I do not think they will because the UE4 is being dropped. I just hope the changes aren't so horrible in the final version. Some stuff they changed really just made the game blander, but some stuff is very promising.

Someone posted in the past that you can have both versions (UE4 and UE5) installed if you rename the game folder and then switch to the other version. If the game is not in the regular folder, Steam won't be able to replace it, and you should end up with both versions installed. Then you would have to start the version in the renamed folder by running the EXE in that folder (instead of using the regular Steam shortcut or clicking the Play button in Steam).

In theory, that might work. I haven't tried it.
ok thank you !
