How many Night Lotus is needed?

I quickly found 5 night lotus in the cave, and have looked for more over and over, The quest still says I need to find "enough", whatever that means.

Then you might have running into a bug……i only found 3 of them and turned out that was quite enough to complete the quest.

Did the quest move on to say you had enough and to give them to the NPC? or did it keep saying you needed more, but you could complete the quest anyway?

You do only require 3 in order to continue the quest, so it certainly sounds like you've ran into a bug which we've been unable to replicate ourselves. If you could provide us with any other information which may help us identify the cause it would be much appreciated.

These are what I can think of... I just reloaded and I still have 5 night lotus in inventory and gather enough in quests.
1. I'm in the void form because I haven't found what's needed to weaken the guardian yet.
2. I talked to the NPC offering to pay instead of giving to the village, said no, killed her before entering the cave to collect lotus.
3.I started the game the save file is made from on May 20th, maybe it's an update issue.

To weaken the guardian you need to use the khopesh gotten from the same jar as the void form.

Now I am also having a problem completing the draconid vessel quest. I grabbed the vessel, turned into a draconid, but when I returned to the NPC the only choices were 1. I broke it, and she doesn't believe me. Or 2. I will keep on looking. The vessel is in my inventory but that doesn't seem to matter.

You have to start new game after update. If you continue your game save from previous version it will break quests.
No rest for the wicked quest will glitch out and freeze at petal gathering point.
So in 99% of cases about broken quests its because people are not starting fresh game after update.

For this one, you need to be in the female draconid form.

I am having a bug with this quest. I have 5 in my inventory and the quest did not say I have enough lotus petals. I just ran through the cave and gathered all the lotus plants I saw and now its stuck on needing more.

Edit: I think the issue is that the quest requires exactly 3 and when you are over 3 it does not recognize you have the needed amount. A quick fix would probly be changing the requirement of the quest to check if player has equal to three or greater than 3 lotus petals in inventory.

I went back to the quest giver with 5 lotus petals and it wont let me turn in 3.

I ran into a similar bug, but I only found two, I searched the whole cave and nothing, is it a save and reload thing to fix it?

I am having a different issue with the night lotus, they are not spawning. I had an issue before where I would go to village, talk to scribe, got sent to acolyte, refused to betray village, found cave, got night lotus, but game put them in general inventory instead of quest so I couldn't never turn them in, this also affected the Anubis eyes. I did a full uninstall erasing everything and reinstalled. The Anubis eyes went to quest inventory and worked like a charm. Started the barricaded village quest again and did everything the same. Followed the quest marker to cave, says I am standing right in front of Night Lotus but there is nothing there. The reinstall was done today 6/19/2022 through steam.

If there is any way Please make a explore auto-map of cave systems! I have been trapped in the cave with the recipe for 2 hours! Round and round and round,,,,, the same rooms over and over and over! The mobs are just annoying, they can't hurt me for some reason, maybe because I'm in the void form. My hit point bar hasn't moved the entire time, except when it increased after leveling.

Same thing happened to me once, I ended up going to extras on main menu and killing my character. Respawned at my camp and went on my merry way. This also works when you get stuck in a rock.
