Carnal Instinct

Main Quest Line?
Is Diamond in the Rough currently the last quest in the main line? I don't see any more quest start markers. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I think that's the last one. The Wiki list some other quests as "main quests", but they're not really connected to that one.

Looks like there's also a difference between a UE4 version and a UE5 version. Confusing. lol
They're completely different. The UE5 version starts in a different part of the game world, with different quests, etc. The area in the UE4 version is supposed to eventually be added to the UE5 version.

At this point there is more to do in the UE4 version (more quests, random NPC's, etc.), but that will change as the UE5 version is updated.

Yeah. I switched over to UE5. It's a better game although I like the setting of UE4 better. Glad to here the UE4 map will be added later.
If you're interested, you can look at the roadmap they posted last March. Their timelines have slipped some, and will probably slip more, but what we have now is just two islands in the middle of a much larger planned game world (and Hefer’s Reach, which is a small part of another area in the game world).

The UE5 version will take forever to have as much content as UE4

Yeah, they really should put the UE5 instructions in their pinned FAQ or another pinned topic. I was playing before they added the UE5 version, so I saw the announcements saying that it was coming, but I can see how people that started playing later might not even be aware of it (in the same way that I did not go back and read announcements that were posted long before I started playing, because they were presumably all about stuff that was already in the game).

The instructions for switching to UE5 are at the top of the update notes.

I assume that you're talking about one of the posts in the Events & Announcements section. The thing is, people that start playing the game now may not think to look at "news" from last year, and it would probably never occur to most that there are two versions of the game.

To put it another way, why not have a more prominent notice about the two versions of the game, and how to switch between them, instead of hoping that people will read old posts?

For a new user, you're right.
For a returning user, you're wrong.

A decent amount of people complaing about UE5 seem to be returning users who aren't reading the update notes.

But yes, they should have updated the Store Page to mention UE5 around 10 months ago when they released the first UE5 build.
That's really all that I'm saying. They could make it more "obvious" (for lack of a better word). But communicating here on Steam doesn't seem to be their strong suit (I really don't understand that).

The current trailer should be clearly labled UE4 and a UE5 trailer also labled added. Maybe peeps would be a bit more observant if 2 versions are clearly available. Of course I'm probably just being optimistic, peeps will still keep on B1tching.
