Which updates are you talking about? I can't remember anything posted on Steam that isn't available on Steam (apart from news about upcoming updates, which naturally featured stuff that wasn't in the game yet).
If you're talking about the UE5 stuff, that's a separate version that's available via Steam's Betas feature (in the game's Properties in Steam). I can't blame you if you didn't know about that (others have missed it). They should have a pinned topic about it or something.

There's not a set date for the Steam update yet. Patreon's is due at the end of the month so expect it to come after that (time-wise depending on how many major bugs get found that need to be fixed before bringing it over)
so are we getting the xmas update or are we getting this April update with the missing xmas content, one will ponder.
he means the updates does not appear in the Steam version. But i hope they update it soon, becaus i can only have low-end resolutions in beta-version. On a 2k screen its 1200p or something is not nice.
I assume that for most people it's not about "not updating every month". It's about them not keeping to their stated update schedule and not communicating anything here on Steam, so people are naturally going to wonder if the game has been abandoned.
I get that there may be many reasons for delays, and I, personally, am OK with that. I think that, for many people, it's the lack of communication here that's killing them.
And, for the record, this is from their store page 2 weeks ago (I assume that it hasn't changed since then):
So it's not just "every 3 or so months". They said there would be frequent minor updates and a "huge" update "at least" once every 3 months. I've said this before, but they really should change that info on the store page.
every 3 months... looks at time passed between last update and the one before... 5 months... ok but surely they learned from it and they will keep to the 3 months schedule this time right? *looks at time passed since last update* almost 5 months again... guess not.
now realise that you are trying to defend them by making the arguement that they release an update every 3 months but for the last 2 updates it has been 5 months each.
an update every 3 months i am more then fine with an update every half a year however is pushing it.
Nobody is rushing, nobody is shaming. Its just a fair discussion about the state of the game.
Its been 2 years since a update and we only ask when. If you can't have discussion and you don't like fair questions...you're more than free to leave.
This is one of those games where you uninstall it and expect a 1.0 in the next decade. Anything faster is good news.
Just in case you were serious about that, it hasn't been 2 years. They released updates for the UE4 version in March and June of last year; and released the UE5 version at the end of July, with an update in late December.
