Does this level matter? Or is that something for later dev?
The quessts have a recommended level, but I think right now it doesn't much matter. You do get 3 points per level for attributes.
There is one NPC dialog that needs a 10 attribute (last one on the list, can't remember the name), but that is about it.
Also seems that the ability to cast magic only occurs after putting some points in Arcane. Or maybe it is triggered by an event. Who knows? It is kinda fun though.
Higher fate will cause pregnancy more often if you have that enabled. Pregnancy itself is nothing more than a belly scale and a 30 minute timer. At the end of which the pregnant woman will give birth off screen.
Except for the points, I don't think there really is any concern over the actual character level. At least, not yet.
Ah, I misunderstood. As far as I know, the Carnal Instinct Level (aka sex level) only affects the rate of fertility and virility. Each level increases both by 5%. You don't get the exp until after the scene has ended.
This is a somewhat useless stat right now. If you really want a pregnancy to happen you just try again. Eventually even a 10% chance will succeed. If each try cost you an amount of gold then the higher % would be worth it. That mechanic is not developed yet. Also it seems that only the two NPCs, Moswen and Samia, have any effect on pregnancy right now.
By the way, Slaver's Finery (top piece) increases fertility and virility by 20%. The Slaver's Fine Leg Straps (bottom piece) increase both by 10%. These armor slots disappear during the actual sex scene, but the chances seem to remain in place.
In UE4 the level was occasionally used as a requirement for certain sex options in a dialog with a few random villagers. However, while the requirement was listed, it was not enforced and you could do these anyway.
In UE5 I don't think that it has any particular use as of yet. In the future I could see it being a requirement to engage in more perverted acts; threesomes; or the centaur, naga, and dragon encounters.
That said, I am not sure if restarting the scene makes a difference. Offhand I would think that it does, but haven't tested it.
I am not sure if the % has anything to do with the amount the arousal increases with each thrust. Some positions take forever to increase (doggystyle) while others are almost too quick (cowgirl). It would be nice if high sex level made this a bit faster. As a player, you can always lock the arousal rate (lower left lock icon) if you need more time to watch.
Adjusting the angle of penetration with the circle in the center of the sex control panel seems to help speed up or slow down the rate. It also helps determine if the ejaculation occurs inside (slower speeds) or outside (faster speeds). I am thinking this might be a thing later on where you may wish to have sex but incur a penalty for getting someone (or yourself) pregnant. The angle for an external seems to be different for each sex act and is not reliably indicated in any way before it is too late.
