I beat the final boss back in the previous version months ago, and then played on the NG+ route for a while before putting the game down. Picked it back up to try the new update a couple days ago.

For one thing, it was incredibly difficult to get back into the swing of things. The game is highly confusing, and could use some better on-boarding. But I got my head on straight again and started trying the new versions of the characters.

I like the idea of class-specific combos, I really do, but as it stands now I think the only thing their implementation has done is make Wizard cooler to play and most of the others flattened out. Changing Wizard to Cast off of a single swing and the rest of his kit based around that is a fun update, but everyone else not so much. It kind of felt like it made finding your class's "best combo" seem higher priority than before.

Also, maybe you could say it was a crutch, but the removal of the Kick>Thrust multi-stab is really missed. At the very least it would have been nice to have a notification that it was gone. I spent a while going over all the unlocks trying to figure out how to do it until I realized it couldn't be done whenever you wanted anymore.
