(spoilers) Where does the portal lead to in...
the area after you beat the final boss.

I always go to the orb and face the Maw of Sin to end my run. The past two times I've won I've been afraid to go into the portal because I wanna lock my win in and don't wanna accidentally sign up for a mega hard extra final stage or something that I can't handle lol

And I'm guessing if you die during that then you don't get a win star for that class you're playing as?

that's correct. but if you beat it you get a GLOWING star!
