When is the game releasing on Android?

There are no plans for a mobile version right now but it's not ruled out either since a lot of you are asking!


Why can’t I give away certain objects?

Some objects can’t be gifted or given away because they are required to complete a quest or they are key to the development of your Youtuber career. That’s why, in order to avoid you giving them away accidentally, we have taken away the ability of doing so altogether.


Gigi is gone! How do I make her come back?

Before Gigi disappears, she will tell you to take care of her AFK plant. Then, you’ll get the plant and a watering can. In order to complete the quest, you’ll need to place this plant on a piece of furniture, and then you’ll see it’s special and you can interact with it. If you get close to the plant with the watering can, you’ll see the plant has a heart of friendship. Keep watering the plant until the heart is full and something will surely happen! When Gigi disappears, you have to water the plant every day until you reach 1 full heart of relationship in order for her to come back. The plant can be watered by placing it on a piece of furniture.

Eventually you will receive a message from Dr Ermingaut asking you to go to the lab on a stormy day. Storms are not so common on fall and winter, so you might have to wait until spring to complete this quest.


How can I buy or upgrade workstations?

With the #CityStories update, workstations are now unlocked via the skill tree. You can access them from the app on your phone.


Why can I record first impressions/analysis/speedruns...?

Types of videos are also unlocked via the skill tree app. Make sure to tinker with these new features and find out everything that's new!


My computer was gone before the update. I've updated the game, but it's still gone. How do I get it back?

Workstations are now accessed by the Skill tree app. You can select your computer and place it back in your home from there.


Where can I find an aluminum hat for Edgar?
Your first hint is to know that a genius might have one. That surely means Dr Ermingaut. Go meet the mad genius and befriend him until you gain access to his Secret Lab (the door at the back of Er-Tech). The aluminum hat will be lying on the floor.


Why do used trends still appear among my video tags?

If you capture a trend and record a video, it will appear no matter whether you have used it before. However, that doesn't mean it's taking the spot of another of those juicy trends you've captured. Even though there are only three trends visible on the preview, a video has as many trends attached as you poured into them.


Is there a way to predict trends?

Even though trends will appear with a certain degree of randomness, they are not illogical. Some might come attached to other trends and events. For example the day a console is released, the #Unboxing trend might be hot at the moment too! Pay attention to these little connections, and think like a real YouTuber would.


Where are the 5 flash drives needed for Adam's NT code quest?

Any 5 flash drives you find in the game will count towards completing Adam's NT code. Just remember you need to plug the USB to your computer and then record a video on it. To be sure you're using the USB, make sure its attached trend is showing among the trends displaying before you record the video.


I can't get two Trending Topic tags on the same day for Aaron's NT code quest?

The rate at which trending topics appear is mostly random, but you can expect for a few of them to pop up at the same time during some special events, like Playcon. Another way to ensure you will always have at least one trending topic active is upgrading the level of your house to the max.


How does clickbait and viewers' satisfaction work?

Clickbait boosts the results of your videos, at the expense of your subs satisfaction. When you publish a video with clickbait content, it will attract more unsubbed viewers to your video, with translates in better performance: more subs, more views and more money. However, your subs won't like that, and their satisfaction level will decrease. The lower their satisfaction is, the lesser the probability of them watching your videos. Videos published while your subs are unhappy won't perform as good.


I've done everything a quest is asking me to do, but it's not marked as completed

Most missions require you to go back to the person that gave it to you and talk to them. If the mission is not marked as complete, you might be missing this last step.


I can’t increase my level of friendship with Agora and Grace!

Agora and Grace don’t progress in friendship and they don’t have any friendship events.


I did a livestream with the USB Adam gave me but the USB doesn’t disappear after doing it, and the trend it contains is now white. What should I do?

You have to talk to Adam after completing the livestream in order for the USB to disappear.


Why can't I decorate the new room that gets added when I marry an NPC?

The new room cannot be edited because it’s the other character’s room (Remember, it's important to respect your partner's space). If you get divorced and they move out, the room will disappear.


Why can’t I do an unboxing of any of the items I have?

Unboxings can only be made with games that you have not played yet and objects that display a box symbol next to them. So, if you’ve already played a game, you won’t be able to do an unboxing of it.


Where can I get the costume for Inoxtag’s quest?

You can get the guard costume from Edgar, the Geektopia comic store owner, located at the south-east corner of the downtown neighborhood, at the fountain square. Once you get the costume from Edgar, remember to wear it before talking to the guards again to gain access to the laboratory.


Where can I find Ziggy's flip-flops?

Someone in Newtube city collects anything she can find on the beach to put it on sale on her Treasure Truck. Speak to Agora.


I’m stuck on a quest and I can’t seem to find a solution, what should I do?

We have a wonderful community ready to help you. Don’t be shy and post your doubts in the Steam Discussions or head to our Discord server, where other fellow Youtubers and our team will be glad to help you complete that quest that’s giving you trouble.


I divorced an NPC and now they hate me. What can I do?

You have to use the Er-Brainlyzer, which you can buy at Er-Tech Innovation Center, in order to reset the relationship. That way you can befriend them again.

KNOWN ISSUES

Sometimes, when you open a package, there's a bug on the menus that unables navigation on them. This is solved by going to sleep or restarting the game. Food deliveries are not affected by this bug.
Current workaround: Try to open all your packages at the end of the day, right before going to sleep, so you won't suffer this bug.

When you try to pick up a quest item with your inventory full, the item will disappear when you leave the scene.
Current workaround: The only way to avoid this at the moment is to make sure you pick up the object before leaving the scene. If you're inventory is full, drop something you don't need from your backpack and pick the quest item.

Hi Guys i found a little bug with the last patch i hope you can watch it the bug it's with the menu's of everything when you open it sometimes the cursor goes crazy like up to down with no movement it's a little bit annoying but still playable :D Thanks for reading me.

On the 15th of the spring of the first year, there will be a Super Developer Day and a new game will be streamed live. Only on this day you can shoot videos without live streaming. On the 22nd, there was a lottery for Player 1, and the developer was there to introduce the new game, but I couldn't take any pictures that day. What should I do to unlock this?
Probably, it seems that you have to take the live streaming function, but it is expensive. Have developers found a way to get live streaming functionality in just 20 days from the game's launch? The amount and the number of days may not be in proportion.

Hi! The event serves as a tutorial for livestreams in the game. Regardless of you not having the livestream functionality, you will be able to live stream that day after speaking to the dev and interacting with the screen at Player 1.

Please double check. There will be two developer events on the 15th and 22nd. Xavier contacted me on the 15th, but not on the 22nd. On the 15th, you can shoot without the function, but on the 22nd, it is locked and you cannot shoot. Sorry! The Livestream skill has to be obtained from the Skill Tree App. There is one livestream skill for each type of video. In your case you're looking for the Game Streaming skill.

Thank you for your reply. Before Citystories, I didn't notice because I could go here without skills. Quite a lot has been added in #Citystories and it's still not fully figured out and fumbling.

I have a problem with my game. Nothing seems to raise anymore, no hearts (I'm stuck with Adam on the fifth heart and with Mr. Ermingaut on his Second, it won't jumpt to the next state , doesn't matter what i gift them) and The questline with Adam with those five USB sticks is also stuck. I already used every USB stick I could find and made sure the # was on the video, but I'm still stuck on 1/5 videos. Please help, I really like this game but without progress I'm starting to loose interest ...

Can we expect the same treatment of this game by the devs as youtubers life omg? i.e. patching a ton of tedium and bugs into the game and then abandon it? Is there a bug with Dock 54 or am I not understanding the requirements? I have the gold plaque and have visited it previously, npcs show up as being on the yacht in the map, its the 5th--so still the first week--and it's not raining/snowing. It's in winter, but I've visited it before in winter. I've also tried multiple times, and it's still not working.

I bought the game rather recently, got the Gigi returns from the past cutscene, however she went missing again shortly after (the very next day).
She's just gone

Stuff to mention: I somehow got this cutscene before getting a full heart with the plant, I'm asking because I just reached the full heart with the plant and I don't know what to do.
