Zane, Magical Items

Hi, Has anyone completed this quest?
I've given him the magical scales and a health elixir but nothing seems to work and can only gift 2 times a week! Please help!

I'm not sure how I did that, the story went on when I managed to do DJ CERULEAN quests with her interview and the next one. I also gave a Mage Statue from Geektopia to Zane.

Zane likes heath elixirs the green bottles from the trash truck... after I helped him and handed him a bottle he says something along the lines of "well I dont need magic items anymore but I dont mind collecting them anyways"
