Confused about baal

So I came back after not playing for a month or 2 because I heard baal was fun and actually stood a chance aginst survivors but I'm 0-5 and haven't even came close to winning a match. I haven't noticed anything different between him and the other demons his units still get rolled in a few hits especially if there's more then one survivor around. I get he can power level fast which is nice but I cant figure out what so special about him.
Btw I'm not doing the infinite possession loop because it's stupid and shouldn't be a thing.
