Baal possession spam?

Whats with Baal being able to take control of his lil guys and then just stun locking you until you die really early on? Has wiped out every group I played it with like four times in a row?

The elites attacks are slow, you basically can't hit anyone with them, and his boss unit is squishy with long animations. I think people spam his basics because it's the only reliable way to eat through all the hp and dodging. That's what I did when I levelled him.
