Yup, I would say Fable is the closest.
One of the weakest points, though later on some rewards are handy. You can skip them, though if you are not perfectionist.
Don´t banish the game yet, though! The cases are quite good and the story isn´t bad at all!
I guess I'll just focus on the main story and the hauntings.
It seems I will do so, too. Best are main story and blue hauntings. Grey activities are meh so far. Running around like maniac thousand times isn´t that fun.
Good to know, ive not played fable since a handful of years after launch, so like 2006 lol.
It's like independent zones you run through collecting items and fighting enemies, all connected together to form one big map.
If you played Greedfall, that's this game.
That's the answer.
Sadly, Greedfall was even more boring in in map design and exploration.
True, but it seems the game "cheats" and uses traversing (which is slow, like crawling through crevice) as time to load next zone. And you would be suprised, I like this approach - in sense of immersion.
But I noticed that when I returned to ANY town, the game crashes, probably becuse it´s overwhelmed by all those data from around the map. It might not be the case, but it seems so.
I guess we can read different opinions on this. I think both games are similar in many ways. IMO, the maps of both games and their exploration are interesting. Exploring areas in Greedfall is far from boring, and, for me, even the exploration in Greedfall feels a bit more flexible and less constricted compared to Banishers. Both are great games with interesting, well-designed areas to explore.
Glad you are enjoying both game much more than I do :)
