Hmm.... time to make a thread pointing that out.
Forspoken was made by Square Enix, a developer/publisher where 95% of their new releases are absolute garbage (some of their remakes are good though).
This game is being made by Don't Nod and published by Focus, two companies where most of what they release is pretty well-received by fans and critics alike.
Let's pay more attention to the people who make games instead of judging them by thumbnails.
Also, the gameplay and story trailers already look a million times better than Forspoken.
The protagonist is a white guy with an Irish accent. But sure, 'similar protagonist'.
She literally has a Caribbean accent in the trailers.
All characters and story are totally different. Game play is different. Developer and publisher are different.
This game looks amazing and DON'T NOD is known for very good story games. Vampyr was great game and this game looks even better. Cannot wait for this game to come out.
so 'brown woman bad' is your argument. very compelling.
Also, to a different poster - who cares if one character is given a form of favorism on the "cover"? White-male-character has had that with woman/child behind them for many, many years - for all sort of games, good and bad and whatever.
Is it bad if the game focuses on the brown woman? What does this actually say about game? Oh right, nothing.
Remember folks, if its white cis dude, its just natural, no pandering at all - anything else is DEI and unnatural and pandering. Nothing racist/sexist/homophobic about that at all.
